Venus is a honey dew with bright green flesh with superb sweetness flavor and aroma in its 5 x 6 ” oval fruits. GARDEN HINTS: To get a head start sow 2-3 seeds in individual peat pots indoors 3-4 weeks before outdoor planting date. Grow in a sunny spot or under plant lights. Later thin to one best seedling per pot. Transfer to garden in peat pots. Fruits are ripe when the stem attached to the melon slips away with light pressure from the thumb....
